1 Cup Butter

1 Cup Shortening-(I use butter.)

2 Eggs

2 Cups Sugar

1 tsp. Baking Soda

½ tsp. salt

1 tsp. Cream of Tarter

4 Cups of Flour

 

Cream Butter & Sugar together.  Add Eggs and mix.
Add remaining ingredients and mix.
Spoon 1 TBLS of cookie mix on cookie sheet.
Using the bottom of a cup dipped in sugar, press cookie mixture down.
Bake 8-10 min. at 350*.
Makes about 4 dozen.
