“The X Factor” is upping the sexy factor — TMZ has learned Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio are signing on to be judges for next season. 

Sources connected to FOX tell TMZ the pair are in final negotiations to join the show … with only minor details left to be hammered out before they sign on. 

We’re told the deals will be done in the next few days, possibly as early as tomorrow.

Rowland and Rubio would be replacing Britney Spears and L.A. Reid … and joining returning judges Demi Lovato and (of course) Simon Cowell.

A rep for Fox had no comment.

Ellen Pearson — the woman who was married to Robert Kardashian when he died — claims the Kardashian kids don’t have a leg to stand on in their lawsuit against her for selling portions of their father’s diary to the tabloids … TMZ has learned. 

Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob Jr. all banded together last month to sue Pearson for profiting off the diary … a diary that contained a slew of juicy personal information.

The Kardashian kids claimed in their suit that the diary was left to them in Robert’s will, but in her response filed earlier this week … Pearson claims that just isn’t the case and the diary is rightfully hers.

Pearson also shoots down the idea that she hid the diary from the Kardashians, but she does fully admit to selling it to the tabloids and owns up to the fact that she got paid for it.

In the end, Pearson claims the Kardashians have no case and is asking a judge to toss it out completely.

A judge has yet to rule.

Lisa Vanderpump‘s hubby Ken escaped the long arm of the law this week — when he was pulled over by a cop in West Hollywood … for something that probably WASN’T EVEN HIS FAULT!!!

Here’s the deal — sources tell us an eagle-eyed cop spotted Ken’s fancy Bentley cruising down Santa Monica Blvd. at nighttime WITHOUT his headlights on.

But here’s the rub … we’re told Ken had just picked up Lisa from their restaurant SUR … and we’re guessing that’s where things went wrong.

WHY? Because he probably left the car with the valet … and sometimes valets TURN OFF YOUR HEADLIGHTS (even if they’re set to automatic) … and it drives us frickin’ CRAZY!!!!

Anywho … Ken didn’t get in trouble for the headlight issue, the cop let him drive off without a ticket.

We can’t confirm the valet thing either … but c’mon, you KNOW it’s happened to you.

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating death threats made against Chris Brown … TMZ has learned.

According to our sources, multiple threats were called in to the office of Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos. We’re told the caller threatened Chris’ life … but it’s unclear what, if any, specific threats were made.

Our sources say Geragos took the threats very seriously and immediately reported them to the LAPD, giving them all the information he had on the calls.

We’re told Geragos filled out a report and the LAPD are currently investigating.

Diddy‘s former right-hand man — the guy who worked closely with Danity Kane back in the “Making the Band 3″ days — says their careers were unfairly cut short, and he LOVES the idea of a reunion.

TMZ broke the story … the all-girl band Diddy created — then ripped apart — is getting back together without his blessing.

Now Conrad Dimanche tells TMZ, “I think it’s a great idea and the fans would love it.” He added that, in his eyes, the group only broke up due to “senseless differences.”

Dimanche was an Executive Producer and A&R man for Diddy for 10 years … and says he’s ready to work with Danity Kane again if they reach out to him.

As for DK’s bad blood with Diddy … Dimanche says, “I couldn’t speak for him on his thoughts of the girls reuniting, but I will say it would make the most sense if he was involved.”

Dimanche must be a glutton for punishment … ’cause things didn’t exactly end on an up note his last go-around with DK.

TMZ has learned Paris Hilton re-joined the celeb swatting club when someone called 911 pretending to be her, and told cops she was trapped in her bedroom with a gun to her head.

Multiple police cars rushed to Paris’ L.A. mansion to search for intruders after the call came in last weekend — but all they found were Paris’ pooches chillin’ by themselves.

This is deja vu all over again for Paris … TMZ broke the story when cops responded to her house 2 months ago for a very similar call.

Sources tell us, Paris wasn’t home for the latest incident, and was completely unaware until she got back and saw the LAPD cruisers lined up outside her house.

As we previously reported … Justin Timberlake, Khloe Kardashian, Selena Gomez, Russell Brand, Ryan Seacrest, Miley Cyrus and Magic Johnson have all been swatted too. 

Heavy D‘s brother is seeking control of the late rapper’s estate — what’s left of it — via an old will that earmarks nothing for D’s 13-year-old daughter, parents or other siblings … according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Floyd Myers, D’s brother and former business manager, filed docs in L.A. County Superior Court last week … claiming Heavy wrote a will in ’99 and lost it years ago … but insists D gave him a copy.

Interestingly, the will Floyd wants the court to honor specifies that all of Heavy’s assets should go to Floyd (keep in mind, Heavy apparently signed off on that will BEFORE his daughter was born).

So what’s left of Heavy’s estate? The rapper only had $320,000 in listed assets (but there could be more $$$ in future royalties and other bank accounts that haven’t been discovered yet). 

But Floyd’s lawyer tells TMZ … it’s all good with D’s extended family … the filing is a formality to clear title on a condo the brothers co-owned so Floyd can sell it. We reached out to several immediate family members … no one’s gotten back.

HD died in November 2011 from a pulmonary embolism at age 44 … as TMZ first reported.
